We’re looking for skilled Java, Python and Scala senior developers for working in Ciena’s NMS system that is BluePlanet MCP. The BluePlanet MCP is domain controller of Ciena’s, automating the lifecycle operations and optical networks at Ciena.
Job Roles
- Collaborate in Agile scrum teams that are working on Features for management & control of the Packet Optical Devices
- Understanding of various requirements from the Product Owners or Architects in the areas of Packet Technologies such as G.8032, MPLS, Pseudo wires, QinQ, and breaking them in various cases
- Design & Implement cases in the MCP by using, Scala, Java and Python
- Fast Prototyping using latest technologies & open source platforms
- Make Automated Test Suites to execute test automation of the features
- Troubleshooting product problems found in the System Integration Testing & Customer deployments.
Mandatory skills:
- 8 to 14 years of the Software Development Experience at 2 of Java and Scala and Python that involve Web Technologies
- Experience in NMS and EMS based systems with more than 5+ years experience on the Packet and L2 domain with very good knowledge of G.8032, MPLS, and QinQ concepts
- Huge development experience on the Linux OS
- Great understanding of the Data Structures & Multi-threading concepts.
- Troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Problem-Solving skills.
- Written & Spoken communications skills.
